Branch Adventures 2007 Extreme UP

For grades 6 thru 12 students, we headed to the UP (that's Upper Penninsula for those who don't know). We had great travel (only one flat tire) with the camp van and an enclosed trailer we borrowed from the neighbors. The focus area this year was the central part of the UP, which enabled us to see the still burning forest fire area (we even got to drive thru the smoldering remains), do some bear petting, swimming, fishing (nothing caught again), swimming, hiking, and even a train ride thru some bear territory.
