Divine Intervention

Prayer Because we know that God is the ultimate provider, we rely on Him first and foremost, and seek to honor Him in whatever we do. Please pray for God's intervention in peoples hearts, and that His Holy Spirit will gift us with the necessary skills to accomplish the mission. Also that He would provide whatever resources are best for the people we serve.
Please also pray that God will use you in the most effective manner possible.

Relations We want to continue to be respectful and sensitive to the needs of others around us, including neighbors, the township, businesses, and local churches. Please pray that going forward, we will continue to be mindful and successful in preserving those valued relations.

Property and Buildings

Move Dirt We have a few projects that entail moving around some dirt. (digging a ditch, leveling some bumpy ground, ...) If you have a machine available to come and spend a few hours, we would appreciate it.

Land We are starting with the property at Steve and Kelly Grody's 43 acres. Eventually we would like to focus that property on leadership training for youths, and small retreat facilities
A second much larger property is being sought for traditional youth camping and larger conferences. We need to find the best available land for that purpose, convey our intentions to the owner, and have the funds to purchase it. We have been looking at some already, and expect to need over one million dollars just to acquire the land. Remember, most land suitable for a camp, has already been turned into housing developments. Please pray for the Lord's mighty hand in this opportunity. He has the ability to move in peoples hearts, not us.

Tractor We would like to aquire a compact tractor about 20-25 HP. A front end loader and a belly mower would help with the drives and misc camp work. We also need to move a lot of snow in the winter time.

Electricity It is estimated by Consumers Energy, that they would charge us about $11,000 to run the line back to the camp site. We will need help pretty quick with this need. Perhaps a solar/wind solution will be the answer.

Buildings We are planning on 4 cabins, a lodge, a barn, and a nature center.
A maintenance/storage shed for various equipment will also be necessary.

Ponds We have been approved by the county and state to deepen the existing ponds so that they are usable for fishing, boating, and swimming. We need a company or individual with the neccesary equipment to make this happen, and with a heart to see their resources be used for God's kingdom.

Gravel We have a long drive back to the camp site, which needs people to sponsor loads of gravel for. If you are interested in having gravel delivered, please let us know.

Picnic table/benches We need several more picnic tables built. We have the plans, which call for about $40 in materials each. 'A great small group project.

Roadside berm Because of an electrical transmission line running thru our property, there is a big visual and noise opening at the road. We would like to push up the dirt in a low area towards the road, and plant some low bushes on top.

Volunteers We are looking for energetic Christian teens and adults to join the team in various ministry positions. Contact us if you are interested. A staff application is available for download here.
